Macaws are a group of spectacularly colorful parrots native to tropical North and South America. They are known for their intelligence, playfulness, and long lifespan. Macaws are social birds that gather in flocks, and their loud calls and squawks echo through the forest canopy. They have vibrant feathers and strong beaks, and some species can even mimic human speech. There are 19 species of Macaws, each unique in its own way. I captured this Scarlet Macaw in Costa Rica.
